The Ludlow Tuart Forest Restoration Group is a not-for-profit community group working to restore and protect the Ludlow Tuart Forest near Busselton, described by the group as the last tall tuart forest left anywhere on Earth. The group also cares for the historic Ludlow Settlement, a State heritage-listed site that was home to Western Australia’s first Forestry School in 1921.
Visitors can explore the Ludlow walk trail, which now includes an audio guide, and follow the annual Ludlow Art Prize and exhibition. A Ludlow campground is opening soon, with nightly stays helping to fund restoration work.
You can support the forest through memberships, volunteering, donations, seedling sponsorships and the Ludlow caretakers program. Open to visitors Wednesdays 9am to 12 noon and Sundays 10am to 2pm.

You can visit the Settlement and Walking Trails at any time, but our cafe is open on the first Sunday of each month.
