Jodie Buck has always been a leader who has amplified her voice to ensure quality care for children and inspiring Educators to exceed the expectations in the challenging industry of childcare. Starting her own company in 2021 with a tiny Out of School Hours Care and big dreams has not come without a whirlwind of challenges, “I am not sure what is about me, but when someone tells me I cannot do it, or I shouldn’t, I just start working through the night to make it happen!”
Young Bucks Early Learning Centres, now have over 60 employees throughout the four centres in the southwest, the team consists of mainly women from all walks of life. Jodie’s passion for providing a safe and nurturing environment for children is clear the moment you walk through the doors.
“Juggling my three children and running a company has its fair share of challenges, some days I have to stop my plans and focus on solving a problem. My children know if I say on the weekend, we need to go to the centre, they just jump in the car and go along with it. I am extremely lucky to have a close family, my sister Kelly is our Operations Manager, and our Mum and Dad always volunteer their help, and I could not do any of this without their support.”
Jodie started working in the Education and Care industry in 1997, and is passionate about providing exceptional quality care that nurtures each child’s growth and development. Raised right here in the southwest and now living in Busselton with her three wonderful children—Oscar, Jasper, and Kaliyah—she is dedicated to creating a place where every child can thrive. Our motto, ‘Wild at Heart’, is inspired by our her children, who are the heart and soul of everything we do.
