Brendon’s experience encompasses 36+ years in Senior management, Business owner, Technical roles and Consultancy in the Radio and Telecommunications industry as a subject matter expert (SME) in Electromagnetic Energy (EME) in wireless technologies in various specialist technical roles. He is an active member of Standards Australia (TE007) committee and international IEC standards representative (TC106) developing the new IEC 62232 and IEC 62209 standards for Radio Frequencies (RF) covering human RF exposure and measurements form part of an international expert group in 5G. Currently the Principal Consultant in Brendon Woods Consulting he was previously an Associate (EME Manager) SME with Aurecon managing a national team of RF engineers. Brendon has been instrumental in developing the methodology to deploy a 5G network and the analytics required to design and implement a next generation radio network using MiMO antenna to meet safety and design conditions. Brendon has been involved with telecommunications networks throughout Australia and the deployment of Mobiles nationally since the introduction of the 2G mobile network. He has been involved with both wind solar projects and has recently worked on a DAS and WiFi projects in Melbourne for the Olympic Park precinct as the SME. This has given Brendon exposure to the building industry, and RF regulations that will apply to the next generation of inbuilding communications. Recent experience also includes EMC/EMI SME for multiple Rail tunnel projects working with joint venture partners for the various state Governments.
