I have held a career in Finance for over 25 years and expanded into Social Services after re-locating from Perth to the Southwest. The severe financial and emotional distress I witnessed people going through (during divorce proceedings) whilst working as a Financial Counsellor, prompted me to become a mediator so that I could use my skills to prevent these situations from becoming long drawn-out legal battles. I have been working in the Social Services sector now for over 15 years and have assisted many individuals through the Divorce & Property Settlement process during this time. It is my belief that I can make a difference and ultimately reduce the cost and emotional trauma experienced by so many. My extensive experience with Family Domestic Violence and connections with local Social Services/Agencies enables me to refer clients to additional support as and when necessary. I am completely neutral and provide a more empowering process that helps people to create future-focused plans that are aligned with the best interests of the children involved.
Additionally, I also provide consultancy services assisting small business and Not-for-Profit groups with business planning, strategic planning, financial planning/budgeting and internal/external disputes. Along with social justice, consumer advocacy is also a passion of mine - ensuring the rights of consumers who encounter problems with products or services that they have purchased (consumer protection issues).
I am a member of numerous networking groups and am currently a Board Member with Busselton Hospice Care Inc, am on the Finance Committee with Bunbury Geographe Chamber of Commerce and Industry and am on the Busselton White Ribbon Committee.
