Shop Local Campaign – Terms and Conditions

Any business in the geographical region of the City of Busselton local government boundary can participate in the campaign.

Participation in the campaign is a 12 month subscription. Normally, the cost to participate is $300 for non-members of the BCCI and $200 for members. This includes marketing of the campaign for 12 months on digital media, Triple M and BD Times, $100 worth of vouchers and a poster for the business to display in their shop window. As part of the BCCI COVID19 Business Recovery Support and thanks to our supporters, BCCI are contributing $5000 worth of Shop Local vouchers to new businesses who sign up to the program and to the existing participating businesses. Until the limit is reached, each participating business will receive 3x $25 vouchers.

Any business who signs up must provide their BSB and Account details to the BCCI to be reimbursed.

Each business can allocate their vouchers at their discretion as rewards, gifts, staff incentives or any other option they choose.

Vouchers can also be purchased directly from the Busselton Chamber of Commerce. Any person or business is able to purchase vouchers at any time during the year. If the buyer is not a business, the voucher number will be allocated to the buyers’ name, otherwise the voucher number will be allocated to the business name of the buyer.
The BCCI will promote the campaign at various times during the year with newspaper and digital media marketing at no additional cost to current participating businesses.

Vouchers are valued at either $25, as printed on the voucher.

Each voucher is individually numbered and allocated to each participating business. A data base is maintained by the BCCI of participating businesses, allocated voucher numbers and where their respective vouchers are redeemed.

The expiry date for each campaign will comply with Australian Consumer Law governing expiry dates for gift vouchers. Following changes to the Fair Trading Act, Australian Consumer Law (as of 01/11/2019) states that gift vouchers have a minimum expiry date of 3 years after purchase. This does not apply to vouchers purchased prior to 01/11/2019. The BCCI will honour all vouchers presented to any business.

Vouchers can only be used at participating businesses as stated on the vouchers, posters and updated monthly on the BCCI websites.

Once redeemed at a participating store, the store must present the voucher together with their BSB and Account details to the BCCI to be reimbursed the value of redeemed vouchers.

Vouchers are not redeemable in store for cash.

Vouchers can only be used once.
